- To associate foresters, forest owners, organizations, forestry educators and students, forestry research workers who apply or support close-to-nature forestry in line with Pro Silva principles (hereinafter CTNF);
- Transfer of knowledge and exchange of practical experience to shape forests with diverse age, species, genetic and spatial structure, which will be able to fulfil the environmental, economic and social functions in sustainable and economically viable way, including its adaptation to climate change;
- Preservation of natural forest ecosystems with various forms of species composition, uneven-aged and multi-strata forest stand structure; protection of primary forests, old trees, dead standing and lying wood, native, rare and endangered tree species, biodiversity and integrated fulfilment of other functions of the forest;
- Organization of forest visits, excursions and seminars and other education activities aimed at sustainable forest management based on close to nature principles, exchange of knowledge and experience in this topic;
- Consultancy on CTNF issues, publishing and publishing activities;
- Establishment of a network of exemplary forests, with regular measurements;
- Participation in the policy making and legislative processes related to forestry and nature protection;
- Cooperation with other forestry and nature protection entities;
- Cooperation with academic community and scientists in research and scientific studies mounting the knowledge base to enable positive presentation of CTNF, its results and goals;
- Media communication on CTNF towards the general public and other target groups.
